At Dorset Tea we are proud to announce the launch of our new fully sustainable packaging.  We love our surrounding countryside and coastline so we have been working hard to ensure all of our packaging is as environmentally friendly as possible.To celebrate this new launch, we have teamed up with the Marine Conservation Society to highlight the importance of using sustainable packaging and keeping our coastlines litter-free.

From removing the gold lettering on the outer packaging so that it is 100% recyclable to the sift proof packaging which does not require inner foil bags, we have considered every aspect of its packaging.   Replacing where necessary, for more sustainable alternatives. As part of this step we have introduced biodegradable teabags using plant-based, heat sealable paper that can be industrially composted. The box does not require plastic outer packaging. 

Acutely aware of the damage that is being caused by single use plastics and littering – particularly seen locally in Dorset during lockdown and the year of the Great British Staycation, We have joined forces with the Marine Conservation Society to raise awareness of the impact of littering along the coastline. 

Part of the collaboration will include joining with local schools to create projects that focus on the local coastal environment and the importance of protecting marine life from litter. We will have more information on this soon!
